Postal Rate Change Alert: Canada Post New Pricing Now In Effect
It's official. Canada Post has announced changes to rates for 2024.
Canada Post has unveiled changes to rates for 2024 and we are happy to announce that there will be no price changes to Lettermail™ / Incentive Lettermail™, U.S.A. and International Letter-post, U.S.A and International Letter-post.
The price increase will affect the following services:

The Specified Delivery Date surcharge for Standard items will be reintroduced after being paused during the pandemic, and it will now also include Oversize items. Transportation fees will increase from $0.0115 to $0.012 |
The annual fee increased by $10 from $235 to $245 |
Machineable Postage meter |
The annual fee will increase by $25 from $865 to $890 |

Peak Season Surcharges Reminder (from Monday, October 30, 2023 till Sunday, January 14, 2024)
Remember that it's the holiday shipping season, and Canada Post peak season surcharges are ongoing and will be effective till January, 14, 2024.
Here is what you need to know:
- Delivery Guarantee Notification
If you send something between October 30, 2023, and January 14, 2024, Canada Post will only consider claims for late delivery if the item is delivered 2 or more business days after the expected delivery time. This change applies to Priority™, Xpresspost™, and Expedited Parcel™ services within Canada.
- Oversize, Unpackaged and Out-of-spec Items
Canada Post is making changes to the following surcharges during the holiday season to ensure fast and secure delivery for all customers.
- Oversize and Unpackaged items will increase from $21 to $30
- Out-of-spec items will increase from $300 to $400
