With Fall comes new rate changes from the USPS®. In August 2020, the USPS announced that they were going to implement a time-limited rate change on the commercial pricing of various competitive shipping products.
Products affected by the rate change (not limited to) are Priority Mail®, Priority Mail® Express, Parcel Select® Ground and Parcel Return Service. The rates were approved by the PRC.
Here are the main takeaways from this temporary rate change announcement:
- The rate change will apply to the Commercial Base and Commercial Plus pricing
- It will be in effect from October 18 – December 27, 2020
- After December 27, 2020 the rates will roll back to their current prices
- Retail and First-Class Mailing rates are not affected by this change
