Royal Mail has recently announced a tariff update that will come into effect on April 2nd, 2024. This new tariff will again bring savings for franking machine users.

This latest announcement from Royal Mail confirms that there will be no price increases for franked 1st Class and 2nd Class Letters and Large Letters.  This means businesses can continue enjoying the convenience of franking their mail without worrying about additional costs.

For higher volume users, there's even better news – the price freeze extends to the franked Business Mail Advanced product, providing stability and predictability in mailing costs.

This is a great time to switch from stamps to franking.  Franking machines have long been an excellent solution for businesses aiming to streamline their postage processes and reduce costs.  For businesses sending letters and parcels, franking machines are a cost-effective and efficient way to apply postage.

From April 2nd, 2024, franking machine customers will benefit from significant savings.  1st and 2nd Class Letter stamps will increase by 10p, meaning the price of these Letter products will increase to £1.35 and 85p, respectively. The price differential between a 1st-class franked letter and a stamp is 29p, and between a 2nd-class franked letter versus a stamp is 16p.

However, the benefits of a franking machine extend beyond cost savings.

Increased efficiency and professionalism

In addition to saving money, franking machines save time and improve efficiency.  This allows your business to streamline outgoing mail preparation and enables you to track postage costs, monitor usage across your business, and provide additional postal spend management and reporting.

You can also add your company logo and priority messages to your mail, giving your outgoing correspondence a professional look and boosting brand awareness.
